The IT Manager will oversee the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s information systems and processes including the computer, communication, and office systems.
We are looking for an IT Manager that must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Research, or Computer Science, or equivalent training and experience (required)
- CEH or Microsoft Certified Professional track (preferred)
- 5-7 years of progressive IT experience (required), with 2-3 years in a management or leadership role (preferred)
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages all IT infrastructure, systems, and operations for the organization.
- Approves the purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
- Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures.
- Ensures network security, data protection, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Supports Help Desk technician and System administrators install, repair, and troubleshoot computer system, hardware, and software issues.
- Ensures proper maintenance of logs of all service and repair activities to identify needed training,
- Act as the organization’s Data Security Officer and designated Privacy Officer, responsible for the development and implementation of data security policies and procedures required by HIPAA.
- Creates and maintains the I.T. department’s Standard Operational Procedures that governs processes of user creation and removal, data retention policies, authentication methods etc.
- Generates policies and documentation for business continuity related to I.T.
- Coordinates, in the absence of the System Administrator, the setup of network connectivity for new offices, which may include providing recommendations for the new site, working with local utility services to install/configure and then be responsible for networking office laptops, desktops and printers.
- Coordinates with Vice President of Corporate Engagement if a breach of data occurs.
- Leads technology projects and system implementation.
- Develops IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Manages cloud infrastructure.
- Communicates effectively with the executive leadership team.
Job Essentials:
- Establishes the strategic direction of the organization’s information systems (IS); executes this strategy in collaboration with organization leadership.
- Directs and coordinates professional services such as systems analysis and design, feasibility studies, and programming of information, communication, and office automation systems.
- Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
- Ensures the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored.
- Facilitates preparation of project plans and proposals, outlining project objectives, IS requirements, and analytical and programming staffing requirements for proposed systems.
- Prepares, implements, and executes IS budget.
- Serves as the organization’s Data Security Officer and liaison to funders security staff.
- Expertise in managing enterprise systems in multiple locations.
