Senior Human Resources Manager (Salary $74K-$80K)

The Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing core HR functions and supporting strategic initiatives that align with BAYS’ mission and operational goals. This role will lead key areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, while supporting organizational development and culture initiatives. The Senior HR Manager will supervise HR staff, collaborate with leadership across departments, and ensure HR practices support a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace environment.


We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager who must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
  • A minimum of 8+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in an HR leadership or supervisory role overseeing multiple sites or departments.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile


Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire skilled, mission-aligned candidates.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation structures and benefits plans.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify employee development and succession planning opportunities.
  • Manage the annual performance review cycle and related systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Represent the HR department on internal committees and build external partnerships with HR peers, community organizations, and educational institutions.


Job Essentials:

  • Support the planning and execution of HR strategies that align with organizational priorities and workforce needs.
  • Partner with leadership and department heads to address talent planning, staffing needs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS management.
  • Promote a workplace culture of equity, inclusion, and respect by implementing inclusive HR practices.
  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team members, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented team culture.
  • Provide expert support and guidance on employee relations matters, performance improvement plans, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor and report key HR metrics to identify trends, track performance, and improve HR effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and assist with internal audits and reporting.
  • Support employee engagement programs, staff recognition, and retention strategies.
  • Conduct or support investigations of employee concerns, ensuring fair and timely resolution in accordance with policies.
