Lead Therapist - FFT Pinellas

Clearwater, FL

Lead therapists provide Functional Family Therapy (FFT/FFT CW) to youth and families as well as maintain clinical requirements and supervision as designated by FFT LLC. Lead Therapists are appointed after completion of the first year of FFT implementation and the successful closure of at least five families. Appointment is made at the joint discretion of FFT LLC and BAYS leadership, based on demonstrated clinical competency, fidelity adherence, and leadership readiness.

 We are looking for a Lead Functional Family Therapist who must have:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
  • Two (2) years’ experience providing family-based or in-home clinical services, with demonstrated excellence implementing the FFT modality.
  • Strong adherence to FFT fidelity and BAYS core values.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Deliver weekly, home-based, family sessions using the FFT or FFT-CW model.
  • Maintain a caseload of 3-5 families, serving each for approximately 3-4 months.
  • Participate in the 24/7 crisis support rotation, providing phone-based assistance and coordination for families experiencing urgent needs.
  • Facilitate weekly group supervision for the FFT team, including review of active FFT cases and clinical discussion.
  • Coordinate clinical training for FFT staff in partnership with the Program Director and FFT Consultant.
  • Maintain and monitor accurate documentation and timely data entry in CSS.
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, and performance management of FFT therapists, promoting staff growth and retention.
  • Support the Program Director in maintaining consistent operations, clear hierarchy, and fidelity-driven program functioning.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
